Increasing Primary Care Practice Rates of Colorectal Cancer Screening
This study will develop an intervention to identify patients between ages of 50 and 75 with an average risk of colorectal cancer, assess the practice patients' colorectal cancer screening status, invite eligible patients to be screened by one of screening methods, and follow up with positively-screened patients to obtain a colonoscopy.
Study sites will implement the intervention and, with their help, we will evaluate the intervention’s ease of use, usefulness, effectiveness, and sustainability. The results of the study will provide critical information on how to increase colorectal cancer screening rates in primary care settings.
